Santa Claus is coming to town...

Big Man gave us an encore performance of one of the songs from his Christmas program at school.

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town.

He seeing you when your sleeping
He knows when you are freaking
He knows if you've been bad
So be good for goodness sake.

It's a good thing he didn't have a solo.

Words, words, and More Words

I've always had a lot to say, and everyone has always been really good about listening to me.  Now it is time to pass my skills onto my younger brother.  I have already taught him so many things.  I am working on teaching him to run, but he is still crawling quite a bit, which I taught him to do.  I've taught him how to play.  I've also taught him to say mamamama, da, and ahh ooo.  I just hope everyone continues to listen to me, because I still have so much to teach all of them.

Movin' and Groovin'

October 9, 2012 is officially the day I decided to pick up my foot and start movin'.  It is a little trickier than it looks, so I didn't do a lot of steps, but I have officially master one step and I did it three times because Dad kept missing it.  Finally he saw me do it, so I said "Nigh Nigh Da" and went to bed.  This walking business is exhausting. ~ Buddy

Isms...

Big Man - isms

"I think my poo poo is asleep in my butt."

"I think we should do some pick up clean up in my playroom."
"Why bud, is it a mess?"
"Yea, it is a disaster."

"Mom, our house is a bomb."
"What do you mean?"
"It is a disaster."

Away I Go

I'm on the move!  I've decided now that I am 7 months old that I should no long stay still.  There are places to go, things to explore, and toys to play with.  I can crawl all over the house now.  I've even tried to stand up a little bit, but I topple over pretty easily still.  But, crawling is taking me everywhere I need to go.  I can get under the kitchen table, into the bathroom, all over the playroom, and behind the couch.  I wish I would have thought to do this sooner.  I also hope they give me more places to explore soon.  Those stairs look a little tricky, but I think I'm going to tackle them soon! - Buddy

Turning 4

Life is full of changes at the age of 4.  Now that I am 4 I can eat spicy mustard.  I can also eat salad and avocados.  I don't like avocados, but I can eat them now that I am 4.  I have so many changes in my life.  I can practice swimming without my float and I can even do a great job at the dentist.  (side note:  I do scream at the dentist out of fear and scream when I am trying to swim, but I can do it now that I am 4).

Now that I am 4 I decided that I don't really need a nap anymore.  I decided that I would empty all of the animals and blankets out of my bed instead.  This lead to a conversation between me and mom.  We decided that I would no longer nap.  Instead, I am just going to have rest time.  I am allowed 4 books in my bed (because I am 4) and I am to just stay in my bed and read to my animals.  I'm not going to wear a diaper or pull up during nap I mean rest time.  If I have to go pee, I will just let mom know through my monitor and go to the bathroom and then return to my animals and books.

Being 4 is awesome!  - Big Man

A Big Night

The "Binky Fairy" visited our house tonight!  Tears were flowing from Big Man's eyes and my eyes, but I think we are going to get through it.  It has been a loving 3 year 8 month 7 day relationship between Big Man and Binkies, but the time had come for the "Fairy" to come and take the Binkies to babies that need them.  Luckily, she brought a sword, a Car City, a Car Stunt City, several new cars, and a stuffed Tiger....I guess Daddy was feeling pretty bad too.  Another chapter closed. - Mommy

My Journey

My birthday is tomorrow!  I am 3 months old!!  Let me tell you...time flies when your having fun and I am having so much fun!  I just figured out how to hold things in my hands...it is amazing.  I can hold on to my blanket and even some of my toys.  I am also starting to make some crazy noises.  Sometimes when I am smiling a little sound comes out.  I also talk to Mommy during the day when Big Man isn't talking.  She seems to understand everything I am talking about.  It has been a wild 3 months, but I wouldn't change a single moment of it. - Buddy

PS - Sorry for the old photo...I was only 2 months when this was taken.

Natural Comedian

I don't know if you know this or not, but I am funny!  I am really, really funny!  I tell jokes and they are hilarious! Here are some examples that I told at lunch today:

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Mom
Mom who?
Dad

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Dad
Dad who?
Take a bite of noodley.

Take a deep breath! I am sure your sides are cramping!  I have many more but that's enough for today.

Marriage

I want to get married!  I asked Mama if she would marry me and she said she can't because she is married to Daddy.  I asked Mama if I can marry Buddy and she said no because he is my brother and you can't marry your brother.  I asked Mama if I can marry Poppy and she said no because Poppy is married to Nonny.  What am I going to do?

Mama finally explained that one day I would find a girl that I love as much as she loves Daddy and we could get married.  I just want to know who this girl is going to be.  I asked Mama if she would help me find the girl I am going to marry and she said ABSOLUTELY!  Wish us luck! - Big Man
